As the Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to drive business growth in the defense, aerospace, and national security sectors. The Director, Business Development is a senior growth leader responsible for driving strategic expansion across the Intelligence & Cyber sector within the aerospace, aviation, and defense markets. You will be a key member of the executive team reporting directly to the Sector President, this role leads the development and execution of growth strategies, cultivates high-value relationships across the Intelligence Community and Federal Agencies, and advances priority pursuits aligned with critical national security missions. You will own the sector's business development pipeline, with responsibility for achieving and exceeding annual orders targets exceeding $1B. You will serve as a key voice for the customer, shaping future capabilities and solutions while partnering cross-functionally with capture, proposal, operations, and technical teams to deliver winning outcomes. Additionally, this role will build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of business development and sales professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of Relevant Experience
  • Graduate Degree with 13+ years of Relevant Experience
  • 20+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance (Required)
  • Minimum of 5+ years of business development experience within defense, aerospace, or national security sectors
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale growth initiatives and managing complex, high-value capture efforts
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding significant revenue/order targets (e.g., $500M–$1B+)
  • Extensive experience working with Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), and/or federal civilian agencies
  • Strong network of government and industry contacts within Intel, Cyber, and Special Operations communities
  • Deep understanding of federal acquisition processes, contract vehicles, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing business development and sales teams
  • Must be US Citizen or Authorized to Work in the United States
