The Director of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Sciences (BSPS) Program serves as the inaugural administrative leader for the College of Pharmacy’s new undergraduate program. This position is responsible for providing strategic, operational, and student-centered leadership to ensure the successful, development, implementation, and ongoing excellence of this new program. The Director will collaborate with faculty and academic units to support curriculum delivery, program assessment, and continuous quality improvement. The position reports to the Associate Dean of Student Services, with collaborative relationships across academic departments, including the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science and the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Experimental Therapeutics. The faculty and staff of the Office of Professional Education (OPE) manage all aspects of the Doctor of Pharmacy program and the newly created BSPS program. The OPE has a co-leadership model led by the associate dean of academic affairs (ADAA) and the associate dean of student success (ADSS). The office includes eight professional staff members (director of admissions, director of student success, assessment and accreditation manager, curriculum manager, admissions counselor, academic advisor, instructional services specialist, and administrative coordinator). There is significant interplay between academic affairs and student services staff, and the office’s structure allows for meaningful collaboration to ensure support of all faculty and students.
