About The Position

Sid Lee is a multidisciplinary creative collective striving to make a difference and celebrating culture with bold ideas. Over 300 artisans work as one team from offices in Montreal, Toronto, New York, Paris, London, and San Francisco. They strive to break the ordinary through brand building, brand expression and brand experience. Its creative community also includes Yard, Digital Kitchen, Sid Lee Sport, Sid Lee Architecture, and Haigo. Alongside daring clients, Sid Lee draws on its rich collection of disciplines: from craft to culture and innovation, empowering its clients to outperform their competitors, earn the trust of their customers, and increase their influence. Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in brand, communications, public relations, agency marketing, social, content, or related roles.
  • Experience developing and executing integrated brand strategies, ideally within a creative agency, consultancy, media company, design environment, or culturally driven brand.
  • Strong understanding of PR, social media, content, brand positioning, and reputation building.
  • Exceptional storytelling, writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong creative instincts with the ability to translate strategy into clear direction and effective execution.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong project management skills with experience managing agencies, partners, vendors, budgets, and multiple priorities.
  • Curiosity about culture, creativity, technology, AI, and emerging platforms.
  • Fluency in spoken and written French is required.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written, to work with national and international clients and colleagues (50% of the time) is also required.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead Sid Lee's North American brand strategy, annual priorities, and key initiatives.
  • Ensure the brand remains distinctive, relevant, and consistent across all external touchpoints.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen Sid Lee's market presence and support business development objectives.
  • Monitor cultural, industry, and competitive trends to inform brand direction.
  • Develop compelling narratives that showcase Sid Lee's work, people, culture, innovation, and point of view.
  • Lead PR strategy and manage relationships with external PR partners, media, and industry contacts.
  • Identify earned-media opportunities, agency announcements, executive visibility, and thought leadership opportunities.
  • Ensure external messaging consistently reinforces Sid Lee's positioning and reputation.
  • Own the strategic direction and editorial vision for Sid Lee's social media presence.
  • Develop content strategies that showcase agency work, culture, innovation, thought leadership, and creative excellence.
  • Work closely with the Brand Designer to translate ideas into compelling social and digital content.
  • Use performance insights, emerging platforms, and new formats to continuously evolve the approach.
  • Lead Sid Lee's awards strategy and submission process across key creative and industry programs.
  • Partner with Creative, Strategy, Production, and leadership to identify priority work and develop compelling submissions.
  • Identify opportunities for conferences, speaking engagements, partnerships, publications, and other industry platforms.
  • Amplify awards, recognition, and thought leadership through PR, social, and brand channels.
  • Identify and develop events and experiences that strengthen Sid Lee's relationships with clients, prospects, partners, talent, and the creative community.
  • Define the strategic and creative direction for key brand events and activations.
  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to bring brand experiences to life.
  • Lead the Brand function and provide strategic direction and priorities to the Brand Designer.
  • Partner across Business Development, Creative, Strategy, Production, Talent, and leadership to align brand initiatives with agency priorities.
  • Manage external partners, vendors, budgets, and resources.
  • Establish KPIs and measure the impact of brand, PR, social, content, awards, and related initiatives.
