About The Position

The Director, Analytics & Compliance serves as a senior leader responsible for shaping and executing analytics strategies that strengthen business performance while ensuring compliance with regulatory, legal, and internal governance requirements. This role provides strategic leadership across analytics, data‑driven decision‑making, and compliance monitoring, partnering closely with cross‑functional stakeholders to enable innovation, transparency, and risk‑aware growth. The role offers a unique opportunity to influence enterprise‑level analytics capabilities while reinforcing a strong culture of integrity and compliance across DePuy Synthes. Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months , subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be , regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Business, Finance, Compliance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Generally requires 10–12 years of progressive work experience i n analytics, compliance, data governance, or related strategic roles.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing managers and/or senior individual contributors in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong expertise in analytics strategy, data‑driven insights, and risk‑based decision support.
  • Experience partnering with Legal, Compliance, Quality, or Regulatory teams to ensure adherence to policies and standards.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and diverse stakeholders.
  • Language: English

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience in MedTech, healthcare, life sciences, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross‑functional initiatives of strategic importance.
  • Knowledge of data privacy, data governance, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Experience scaling enterprise analytics capabilities and performance metrics.
  • Demonstrated success driving cultural change related to data integrity, compliance, and accountability.
  • Analytics, compliance, or risk‑related certifications preferred but not .

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for analytics and compliance initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives and regulatory expectations.
  • Direct the development and governance of analytics frameworks, methodologies, and reporting to support informed business decisions.
  • Establish and oversee processes that ensure data accuracy, integrity, privacy, and appropriate use in accordance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Quality, IT, and business leaders to identify , assess, and mitigate analytics‑related compliance and operational risks.
  • Lead complex, cross‑functional projects that integrate analytics insights with compliance controls and monitoring.
  • Advise senior leadership on emerging analytics trends, regulatory considerations, and risk implications impacting business strategy.
  • Guide and mentor managers and senior individual contributors, fostering capability development and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure alignment with Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in all aspects of leadership and decision‑making.
