The Director, Advanced Analytics Seller Risk & Performance leads advanced analytics initiatives across a defined business area, driving data-driven decision-making and insights. The Director oversees project execution, mentors analytics associates, and fosters continuous improvement by integrating innovative solutions. About the Team: The Risk Analytics team leads advanced analytics initiatives to deliver impactful business solutions aligned with Walmart’s strategic goals. Collaborating across functions, the team transforms complex data into actionable insights using expertise in coding, statistical modeling, and data visualization. Members develop innovative tools and instrumentation to support data-driven decision-making and enhance Risk Management strategies. The team emphasizes continuous learning, integrity, and business alignment, driving excellence through cutting-edge techniques and technologies to protect the Walmart Marketplace and contribute to the company’s mission.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience leading advanced analytics projects and developing data models aligned with business priorities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and executive leadership to drive data-driven business strategies.
  • Strong expertise in statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and data visualization to inform decision-making.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL for algorithm development and data analysis.
  • Demonstrated leadership in mentoring and developing analytics teams to enhance skills and performance.
  • Ability to manage complex projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and customer needs.
  • Excellent communication skills to present analytical insights and gain stakeholder buy-in.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field and 5 years' experience in data analytics or related field OR 7 years' experience in data analytics or related field.
  • 4 years' supervisory experience OR experience leading cross-functional teams
