About The Position

Leads and directs general accounting services for the system, monitors operations, and develops internal controls to ensure activities and transactions comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Works with accounting leaders to manage the presentation of financial information and analysis. Develops performance metrics, policies, procedures and internal controls. Provides strategic guidance on business issues, recognizing cross-functional and system-wide implications, and inter-dependencies of decisions. Please Note: While this position is listed as hybrid, regular in-office attendance is required. Candidates should be prepared to commute to the office on a consistent basis to support team collaboration and business needs.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
12 years recent relevant experience.
Working knowledge of accounting and/or finance operations.
Working knowledge of basic principles and methods of accounting, auditing and financial reporting, including generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Understands the business and service organization best practices.
Strategic skills for reviewing processes and strategies to ensure successful alignment with business needs and for identifying improvement opportunities.
Analytical skills with proven ability to resolve issues/problems by leveraging business and functional knowledge and client relationships.
Ability to manage projects from inception to successful implementation.
Ability to operate strategically and tactically.
Demonstrates credible leadership presence, with the ability to respond to questions with logic, clarity, calmness and authority.
Ability to influence others by persuasion, negotiation, and problem solving, and to move others to recognize and appreciate different points of view and to consider/accept alternative options.
