About The Position

The Director of 29I and Other Liaison Services plays a crucial role in connecting the 29I and Community Mental Health programs to the Finance and Liaison/Insurance Services team. The position oversees the Liaison staff and requires cross functional leadership skills as well as knowledge of Medicaid billing regulations, especially related to the 29I and Community Mental Health programs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of bachelors degree in business administration, healthcare or related field; (associates degree accepted with an additional 5 years healthcare insurance or medical billing experience.)
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience required.
  • Minimum 5 years healthcare insurance or medical billing experience is required.
  • Understanding of Medicaid billing regulations, 29I VFCA facility regulations and Community Mental Health program regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with other Agency leaders and healthcare providers.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in Medicaid and other policies, procedures, and healthcare environments.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities effectively.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage cross functional dependencies and understanding of different perspectives.
  • Adherence to ethical standards and confidentiality requirements in healthcare.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with 29I VFCA facilities or Community Mental Health facilities preferred.
  • Experience working in non-profit, human services industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the 29I Liaison Coordinator with oversight to the CI Medical Billing Specialist and Liaison team.
  • Responsible for the overall oversight of the operational and business functions of the 29I VFCA Health Facility and the Community Mental Health programs.
  • Acts as liaison between the Behavioral and Medical Health programs and the Agency support departments and other programs.
  • Administer provisions of contracts and negotiate certain terms of the contracts with Managed Care providers at time of contract renewal.
  • Collect relevant data and complete annual report relative to processes and functions completed by the Behavioral and Medical Health program.
  • Oversight of information systems utilization, ensuring information systems support operations and providers in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Ensure standardized practice of medical and clinical services for billing across the Agencies.
  • Oversee standard operating procedures that support the core of practice operations, including revenue cycle management, patient outcomes, quality assurance results, budget/goal achievement and performance/productivity.
  • Agency liaison with Health Services consultants, providers and vendors.
  • Maintain effective business relationships with medical and/pr clinical provider network on behalf of the organization.
  • Partners with Behavioral Health Department on continuous improvement initiatives to improve seamless services delivery to youth.
  • Responsible for the credentialling of Agency and Behavioral and Medical Health staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
