About The Position

The incumbent is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of activities related to the wealth management of Caisse populaire Alliance. They mobilize a team of professionals and contribute to its development. This team is distinguished by its expertise in private management, financial planning, portfolio approach, securities products, financing, and investment strategies. They also act as a business development resource person for all matters concerning savings and investment. Under the direction of the Vice-President, Member Experience, the Wealth Management Directorate supervises and directs the Credit Union's asset management team. It provides constant support to all service centers in this area.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Five (5) years of experience in financial advisory and wealth management, including two (2) years in management or supporting the sale of financial products and services.
  • Travel: Given the nature of the position and the scope of the Credit Union, the incumbent will need to travel as required by the service centers.

Responsibilities

  • Direct all activities related to the development, deployment, and coaching of asset management, which can have significant repercussions on operational profitability.
  • Support the Vice-President, Member Experience in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Credit Union's strategic plan and annual business plan.
  • Prepare and plan the distribution of tasks in collaboration with the human resources sector.
  • Establish performance objectives and carry out appropriate follow-ups to ensure their achievement according to the Credit Union's annual strategic priorities.
  • Hire and coach staff under their direction.
  • Implement action plans resulting from the annual business plan.
  • Orient, supervise, mobilize, and develop a team generally composed of specialized AGF product advisors, AGF compliance advisors, asset management directors, financial planners, asset management advisors, and financial services agents assigned to the sale of a range of specialized wealth management products and services.
  • Develop business development strategies (sales and solicitation techniques) and thus ensure the growth and profitability of the Credit Union's asset sector, in addition to achieving established objectives.
  • Analyze the products offered (profitability and relevance) in order to develop a sales plan and member approach.
  • Ensure a complete and integrated service offering for members served by their teams, leveraging the services offered by the Credit Union and its service centers.
  • Ensure compliance in securities and mobilize the compliance officer in the context of selling these products.
  • Ensure the quality of services and the proactivity of staff in responding to member needs, while monitoring their satisfaction.
  • Ensure the efficiency and continuous improvement of all sector processes.
  • Maintain business partnerships (internal and external) based on the Credit Union's needs, balancing member satisfaction, profitability, and risk level.
  • Liaise with external partners.
  • Stay informed about the competitive environment and the practices of high-performing companies.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team in creating effective and original promotional campaigns.
  • Be responsible for the continuous development of their own skills and knowledge in their field of activity.
  • Implement practices that promote talent and performance management.
  • Foster a good team spirit, authorize leaves, and handle and resolve conflict situations.
