The Windsor, Quebec, Canada facility is looking for skilled individuals to fill the position of Finishing Operations Director. This is a permanent, full-time position.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another relevant field. Training combined with relevant work experience may be considered equivalent.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the pulp and paper industry or in a unionized manufacturing environment.
  • A minimum of 5 years of management experience.
  • Ability to mobilize employees and collaborators to achieve objectives.
  • Demonstrate a high capacity for assimilation and rapid adaptation in a constantly evolving environment.
  • Good communication skills and mastery of French and English (both oral and written).

Responsibilities

  • Manage and actively develop your team to achieve departmental and plant objectives.
  • Promote health and safety awareness through various interventions, communication methods, or specific training programs.
  • Define performance expectations for the sector and support the team in achieving established goals.
  • Ensure compliance with plant regulations, health and safety standards, the collective labor agreement, and environmental and quality standards.
  • Place a high level of importance on reliability, including planning, scheduling, and monitoring conditions.
  • Participate in the annual and long-term capital expenditure (Capex) planning process.
  • Manage the department's succession and development plan.
  • Cultivate a relationship based on trust with union partners.
