The Manager will be responsible for developing business strategies and managing operational activities to achieve established business goals and objectives, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. This position will manage various areas of the operation such as planning, production, distribution, warehouse, quality, maintenance, safety, and labor relations.

Requirements

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in a manufacturing and distribution environment in a management position, preferably in the food industry.
  • You must be bilingual in French and English (oral and written).
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical equipment.
  • You have to be comfortable and able to work in an ammonia center.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
  • Understanding of OSHA basic requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage the plant's operational budgets and implement actions to control daily costs and achieve financial goals.
  • Establish labour and capital requirements to meet business strategies.
  • Develop and execute business plans and KPIs that align with the company's goals by setting plant goals and implementing the necessary actions to achieve them.
  • Ensure efficient operations by optimizing resources.
  • Responsible for promoting a culture of health and safety by taking proactive measures and eliminating health and safety risks.
  • Manage continuous improvement, integration, and cost-cutting methods.
  • Effectively communicate plant and distribution goals, objectives and results at different levels of the organization.
  • Ensure that training, communication, and initiatives are effectively communicated to production employees.
  • Creating and maintaining a safe plant environment with tools, machinery and equipment is in good working order.
  • Work in accordance with company standards, provincial and federal government regulations as well as food safety quality standards.
  • Additional tasks may be assigned.
