About The Position
We are currently seeking a team member to fill our Full-Time Direct Support Professional - position in our Day Support Program. This role involves assisting people with disabilities to become more independent in their daily activities, participating in community activities, and attending staff meetings. The position requires a positive attitude, self-direction, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members.
Requirements
- Be able to drive (19 years old, valid driver's license, have an insured vehicle, driven 2+ years)
- Motivated to teach
- Be dependable
- Have a positive attitude and be self-directed
- Comfortable assisting with personal care needs
- Possible behaviors (therapeutic intervention training provided)
Responsibilities
- Assist people with disabilities to be independent in their activities of daily living
- Stand for long periods of time
