Direct Support Professional - $750 Sign On Bonus
About The Position
Beacon Specialized Living supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, and autism to live independent and fulfilling lives in their communities. Direct Support Professionals assist individuals with daily life, personal goals, and independence in a safe, supportive environment. The role offers flexible scheduling, including full-time, part-time, and on-call opportunities, and provides training and professional development. A $750 hiring bonus is paid in three installments: $250 after successful orientation at 30 days, $250 after 90 days, and $250 after 180 days, subject to being in good standing at each level.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid driver’s license.
- GED or high school diploma.
- Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily living skills and personal care.
- Support community engagement and recreational activities.
- Prepare meals and maintain a clean, organized home environment.
- Transport individuals to appointments and community activities.
- Administer medications as directed; training is provided.
- Maintain accurate documentation and advocate for individuals served.
- Promote dignity, respect, and person-centered support.
