About The Position
Indera is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with a 20-year-old man in the Syracuse, NY area. The role involves engaging the individual in community activities, assisting with independent living skills, and encouraging him to explore new hobbies. This position offers approximately 8-10 hours per week, with hours typically falling after school. The pay rate is $25 per hour for Com Hab services.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
- Reliable transportation to arrive at the job site at the scheduled time.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.
- Background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check will be completed prior to hire.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
