As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you’ll be part of a compassionate team that works hand-in-hand with families to provide exceptional care and peace of mind. Our Schenectady County Site-Based Day Habilitation Program is looking for compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to join our team! In this person-centered program, you'll work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities in a structured classroom setting, providing individualized support based on each person's unique strengths, interests, and goals. Whether helping someone develop daily living skills, build social connections, participate in meaningful activities, or gain greater independence, you'll play an important role in their success. Every day offers the opportunity to create positive experiences, encourage personal growth, and help individuals reach their full potential in a supportive and engaging environment.
Requirements
- Passionate about making a difference
- At least 18 years of age
- Have a valid NYS Driver's License for transporting individuals to community activities and appointments
- HS Diploma or GED
- Must be able to perform all tasks which require lifting, re-positioning and transferring without restriction
- Prior experience supporting people with developmental disabilities
