Direct Support Professional-Day Service
About The Position
RFK Community Alliance is hiring a full-time Direct Support Professional for its Adult Vocational Program in Clinton, Massachusetts. The program provides social, physical, and skill-building opportunities for residential and day participants, with on-site activities and opportunities for employment at RFK Community Alliance or in the community. The role supports adults with developmental disabilities by designing and implementing programming that promotes health, physical fitness, and good nutrition. It also facilitates vocational and educational assignments, provides support in the program and community, and contributes to developing and monitoring individualized treatment plans and goals. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., for 32 hours per week, at $20 to $21.25 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- At least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is stated; experience in a vocational or educational setting is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification.
- Valid driver's license, required for travel to community sites and partner organizations.

Responsibilities
- Facilitate and oversee vocational work assignments tailored to participants’ skills and interests.
- Provide direct support to individuals during program activities and community-based experiences.
- Accurately record data related to client progress, program participation, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with the program team to develop and monitor individualized treatment plans and goals aligned with each participant’s needs and aspirations.
- Assist individuals in participating in community activities and work experiences that promote vocational skills and social inclusion.
- Work with staff members, case managers, and external partners to provide coordinated client care and support.
- Design and implement programs promoting good health, physical fitness, and good nutrition.
