Direct Support Professional-Day Service
About The Position
RFK Community Alliance is hiring a full-time Direct Support Professional for its Adult Vocational Program in Clinton, Massachusetts. The program offers social, physical, and skill-building opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities, based on each participant’s interests and abilities. Activities include on-site programming and, for participants who choose, employment with RFK Community Alliance or in the community. The role supports participants in vocational and educational assignments, program activities, and community experiences. It also involves promoting health, physical fitness, and nutrition; collecting information about participant progress and outcomes; and collaborating with the program team on individualized treatment plans and goals. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., for 32 hours per week, with a pay range of $20 to $21.25 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- At least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities; vocational or educational setting experience is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to community sites and partner organizations.

Responsibilities
- Facilitate and oversee vocational work assignments suited to participants’ skills and interests.
- Provide direct support during program activities and community-based experiences.
- Accurately record data on participant progress, program participation, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with the program team to develop and monitor individualized treatment plans and goals.
- Assist participants with community activities and work experiences that promote vocational skills and social inclusion.
- Work with staff members, case managers, and external partners to provide coordinated support.
- Design and implement programs promoting good health, physical fitness, and good nutrition.
