About The Position

We are hiring a Direct Support Professional to support adults with disabilities in a day center setting in El Cajon. The role helps clients build independence, participate in meaningful activities, and develop essential life skills in a supportive environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and the pay range is $20.00 to $20.65.

The position is suited to a compassionate, patient, adaptable, organized, and dependable person who communicates well, works effectively with a team, and is committed to person-centered care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid California Driver’s License, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
• Compassionate, patient, adaptable, organized, and dependable approach to work.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
• Commitment to person-centered care.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with case management systems; Therap is preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Previous experience in a caregiving or teaching role.

Responsibilities

• Support clients in learning life, social, and personal care skills.
• Assist with daily needs, including feeding, toileting, and mobility.
• Lead engaging group and individual activities.
• Document client progress and ensure accurate case records.
