About The Position

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) Aide provides hands-on support to individuals with developmental disabilities in day programs and residential settings. Working closely with a team, the aide assists with personal care, daily living activities, and community engagement to help individuals achieve their goals and enhance their independence. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., in El Cajon. Pay is $18.00 to $18.65.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to provide person-centered support in a respectful and inclusive way.
• Patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to supporting individuals’ needs.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Experience using case management systems; Therap is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal care, meals, and mobility support.
• Encourage participation in daily activities and community outings.
• Help individuals build relationships and develop independence.
• Document daily activities and progress using case management software.
