About The Position

A Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver provides direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual and developmental, and physical disabilities. The goal is to empower individuals to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.

The role involves providing hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance; promoting the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals served; performing housekeeping and laundry; and assisting with daily living tasks, including mobility, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, and personal hygiene. Multiple shifts are available. The wage is $15.75 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver's license required because the role involves transporting persons served.
• Must be comfortable driving to transport persons served as required.
• Some positions or locations may require a personal vehicle and auto liability insurance.

• Computer skills for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with disabilities.
• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Help ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of individuals served.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Assist with daily living tasks, including mobility, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Drive to transport persons served as required.
• Document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with internal and external team members.
