About The Position

Indera is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with a friendly, young woman in Baldwinsville. She is looking for a mix of Respite ($20) and Com Hab ($25) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3pm-8pm. She utilizes a communication device to communicate her wants and needs. She enjoys going for walks and being active, but requires some hands on assistance with mobility as she becomes unsteady at times.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Effective communication and organizational skills required.
• Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
• Reliable transportation to arrive at the job site at the scheduled time.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide Respite and Com Hab services.
• Assist with mobility as needed.
• Utilize communication devices to understand and respond to the individual's wants and needs.
• Engage in community activities such as walks.
• Download and use multiple apps for community-based activities, adhering to Indera's technology policy.
