As a DSP in our Day Services program, you'll provide encouragement, guidance, and hands-on support while empowering people we support to make choices, explore their interests, and participate fully in their community. No two days are the same. You may help someone learn a new skill, build confidence in social settings, enjoy recreational activities, or achieve an important personal milestone. You'll play an important role in creating a positive and supportive environment by assisting with daily living needs, promoting health and safety, and encouraging community involvement. Whether you're supporting personal care, helping someone reach a goal they've been working toward, or celebrating their successes, your work will have a lasting impact. Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Valid New York Driver's License is required
Nice To Haves
- Minimally one-year experience working with people with developmental disabilities or an associate degree in human services or related field is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide encouragement, guidance, and hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
