About The Position
Mozaic (A Chapter of The Arc NY) is seeking compassionate, caring individuals to join their team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). As a DSP, you will build meaningful relationships while empowering people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live the lives they choose. This role involves supporting individuals in reaching personal goals, learning new skills, participating in their community, and navigating daily routines, making a lasting impact. The position is located in Auburn, NY (Cayuga County) and offers full-time and relief opportunities. Mozaic is a mission-driven organization dedicated to helping over 2,000 people with disabilities throughout the Finger Lakes region live more independent, fulfilling lives. Team members make a difference through compassion, advocacy, and person-centered support.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Valid NYS Driver's License
Nice To Haves
- Experience with developmental disabilities is valued
- Experience as a CNA, Health Aide, Caregiver, or DSP is a plus

Responsibilities
- Support people with disabilities in achieving their personal goals, building independence, and living fulfilling lives in a residential setting.
- Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal care, and household responsibilities.
- Encourage community involvement, social connections, and meaningful experiences.
- Help people stay active and engaged by providing transportation to appointments, events, and activities.
- Follow individualized support plans that promote choice, dignity, and respect.
- Work closely with families, healthcare professionals, and other support team members to deliver quality, person-centered support.
- Act as a trusted advocate, mentor, and source of encouragement, helping people gain confidence, develop new skills, and thrive.
