Direct Support Professional (MG-AB) (60107)
About The Position
Arise is seeking a male Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with an active and creative young man with a developmental disability. In this role, you will assist him with accessing college and work in his home and community. In the community, he values accessing piano lessons, community events, and opportunities for social interaction. He is working on independent living skills such as maintaining his belongings and cleaning up after himself. He enjoys cooking, shopping, biking, and music. The ideal candidate will have a fun sense of humor, effective communication skills, and strong organizational skills. Hours and days of work, 10 hours anytime Monday through Thursday in the afternoons and/or evenings. Willing to consider different schedules for the right applicant.
Requirements
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Effective communication and organizational skills required
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required
- Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities a plus
- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred
