Awake Overnight DSP with $1000 Hiring Bonus
About The Position
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at LSS, you will provide person-centered care to people with identified needs as they pursue their hopes, dreams, and goals. The role involves building meaningful relationships and supporting daily living, health, independence, and community involvement. The position is an awake overnight role in a residential group home supporting up to four people, as part of a collaborative team focused on dignity, respect, and inclusion. Pay is $16.00 per hour, with an opportunity to increase to $16.50 per hour after six months of consistent employment. A $1,000 hiring bonus is offered subject to eligibility requirements: working at least 40% FTE, staying current on trainings, maintaining employment in good standing, and working all scheduled shifts.
Requirements
- Genuine interest in helping others and supporting people with identified needs through person-centered care.
- Comfort with basic computer use for documenting care and staying connected with the team.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record, with ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Check.
- Ability to pass a DHS background check.
Responsibilities
- Build meaningful relationships and provide guidance, encouragement, and support.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, hygiene, meals, household support and cleaning, and transportation.
- Support community involvement, social connections, and independent living skills.
- Advocate for the rights, needs, and preferences of people with identified needs.
- Monitor health and well-being and report changes as needed.
- Complete required documentation.
- Participate in training and team meetings.
