About The Position
Bittersweet Farms is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for its 3rd Shift, specifically looking for individuals available on Mondays and Wednesdays. This part-time role offers paid training and ongoing support, making it suitable for those without prior experience. The position is ideal for students or new professionals in fields such as Psychology, disability studies, Nursing, healthcare, social work, Education, and human services, or anyone seeking a purpose-driven career focused on people. The role involves supporting individuals with autism to live more independently, encouraging their communication, choices, and confidence, assisting with daily living needs, creating a positive and safe environment, and documenting services accurately.
Requirements
- Positivity, empathy, and patience
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License (eligible for insurance)
- Ability to commit to Day time orientation
- Ability to train on 2nd Shift for the 1st month
Responsibilities
- Support individuals with autism to live more independently
