Direct Support Professional - 2nd Shift
About The Position
Project Genesis, Inc., a Connecticut nonprofit, is hiring a part-time, per-diem Direct Support Professional (also described as a Companion, caregiver, or companion) to provide non-medical support to adults with acquired brain injuries. The role helps individuals live more independently, build confidence, participate in their communities, and achieve personal goals. The listed shift is 2nd shift, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. No prior healthcare experience is required; the organization provides paid orientation and training, ABI certification, person-centered training, ongoing coaching, and support from experienced Program and Operations Managers. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
- Have a valid driver's license.
- Have a reliable vehicle with insurance.
- Have a clean driving record for at least three years.
- Be willing to travel within the assigned service area.
- Demonstrate compassion, patience, and a positive attitude.
