About The Position

Merakey is seeking compassionate, reliable, and mission-driven Direct Support Professionals for its Home and Community Division in Indiana, Pennsylvania. The role supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they build independence, develop social and communication skills, and navigate daily living activities. DSPs serve as mentors, coaches, and advocates while helping individuals pursue personal goals and participate in household and community activities. No prior experience is required; paid training is provided. Pay is $18.50 per hour, with evening, overnight, and weekend shifts available.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must have a personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

Provide direct care and support with activities of daily living.
Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
Support life-skills development, including household tasks and social skills.
Provide community support and transportation.
Promote health, safety, and well-being, including medication support as trained.
Complete required documentation, progress notes, and service logs.
Help individuals develop independence and social and communication skills and participate in daily living and community activities.
