About The Position
Indera is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with an active young woman who enjoys listening to music and spending time with animals. She has recently begun attending Inclusive U at Syracuse University. In this role, you will help her become more involved in community and campus events as well as supporting her with improving her independent living skills. She is interested in learning how to cook and wants to engage more regularly in physical fitness activities. She is seeking a friendly, motivating individual with strong organizational skills who can accompany her to events, engage in activities of interest to her, and will help her to succeed in her educational pursuits.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
- Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
