Float Direct Support Professional
About The Position
Direct Support Professionals provide support and supervision to individuals who have developmental, mental health, or physical disabilities. They help to establish and keep community relationships and friendships, and assist individuals with daily routines including household tasks, cooking and eating, individual self-care, socializing, use of leisure time, health and safety, money management and behavior management. This role also involves administering medications, providing transportation, and documenting services and events through an online computer program. The ideal candidate has a passion for helping others, is flexible and dependable, and displays the company's core values. This role is rewarding as it allows for building relationships, participating in new experiences, and making a difference daily.
Requirements
- Be 18 years or older.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Have access to an insured vehicle.
- Have a clean driving record.
- Need to pass a DHS background study.
- Exhibit basic computer skills.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma preferred.
- One year of experience delivering services to individuals with disabilities.
