About The Position

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) support adults with autism and/or other developmental or intellectual disabilities in their homes within the community. The goal is to help individuals live as independently as possible by providing tailored support. This includes tasks such as medication administration, personal care assistance, community participation, positive behavior development, and documenting progress notes. Our mission is to make a real difference in the quality of life for children and adults with autism and their families. Requirements

  • Can work both independently and in a team setting.
  • Is 18 years of age or older and has a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Is dependable and has reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
  • Can provide proof of car insurance at time of hire.
  • Can problem solve and think quickly in crisis situations.
  • Must be able to pass required background checks.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with children or adults with developmental disorders or delays.

Responsibilities

  • Implement outcomes and objectives for specific individuals as outlined in individual support plans.
  • Collect data, document outcome progress, and complete daily progress notes for the people you are supporting.
  • Provide individualized support and supervision to assigned individuals/groups while adhering to agency policies and procedures.
  • Maintain professional relationship with individuals, families, community members, and other staff.
  • Always represent yourself and Judevine in a professional manner, including while in the community and/or interacting with members of the community.
  • Be kind and patient while providing the support that each person needs to live their best life.
