About The Position

Direct Support Professionals (also referred to as DSPs or caregivers) support individuals with developmental disabilities and empower them to live as independently as possible. This position is hiring in Ham Lake, Minnesota, with a schedule of Fridays from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and every other Saturday and Sunday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have an active driver’s license in good standing and a good driving record.
• Must be willing and able to pass a background check.
• Must be willing to complete an Adult CPR and First Aid course; existing certification is beneficial.
• Must demonstrate patience, kindness, and a servant’s heart and hands.
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.

• Existing Adult CPR and First Aid training.

Responsibilities

• Help residents with dining, mobility, health, and hygiene activities.
• Accompany individuals while they run errands.
• Attend community occasions and activities with individuals, including outdoor walks, games, and social events.
• Assist individuals in achieving their personal goals and desires.
