About The Position

Bancroft is hiring a Direct Support Professional for its Adult Residential - BI department in Brick. Direct Support Professionals provide quality care in a positive and empathetic manner to autistic people and individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. The role focuses on helping residents develop daily living skills and independence through personalized plans of care, while contributing to a supportive team and communicating with residents, families, and guardians. The schedule is Thursday through Saturday, 11 p.m. to 9 a.m., for 30 hours per week. The hourly rate is $19.06 to $19.44.

Bancroft is a service provider for children and adults with autism and other intellectual or developmental disabilities, as well as people in need of neurological rehabilitation. The organization has 2,700 employees across more than 200 facilities and homes in New Jersey and Delaware.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Work well in teams and be open to learning new skills.
• Have the ability and willingness to work weekends.
• Have a current driver's license in good standing.
• Have a strong desire to work with autistic individuals and/or people with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
