The Direct Support Professional will also manage petty cash, operate agency vehicles, develop an understanding of specialized clinical needs, and collect data on individual behavior. Communication with support circles, participation in team meetings, and completion of required trainings and documentation are essential. The role requires understanding behavior as communication and employing person-centered thinking to support positive interactions. Reporting maintenance and safety concerns, and collaborating with leadership and clinical staff are also key aspects of the position. The Direct Support Professional must comply with all regulatory agency requirements, including HIPAA, and perform other assigned duties.
