About The Position

Merakey is hiring Direct Support Professionals to work at its program in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania. The role supports individuals in achieving their goals and increasing independence. Staff follow each individual’s Support Plan and encourage, mentor, and coach individuals in a variety of settings, including parks and sensory gardens. Support includes developing social and communication skills and assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, housekeeping, and laundry. No experience is required, and paid training is provided. The posting says candidates can earn up to $18 per hour with selection of the enhanced pay option.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A driver’s license is required for community-based homes.
• Related experience is helpful but not required; paid training is provided.
