Direct Support Professional (Master's Degree Required)
About The Position
Action Behavior Centers hires caring people to help children with autism build communication, social, and independent skills. The Direct Support Professional works one-on-one with children ages 18 months to 8 years using play-based ABA therapy. The role follows personalized treatment plans, collects simple session data, and supports learning through play, movement, reading, games, and hands-on activities. Team members stay active during sessions and maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment while collaborating with a supportive team. This is a full-time position with guaranteed hours and a Monday–Friday schedule from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Optional Saturday work may be available based on patient needs. The position is based at 2725 S Alma School Rd, Chandler, Arizona. Paid training is provided, and the company covers the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification. The role requires a master’s degree, with proof of the awarded degree required during the hiring process before an offer can be extended.
Requirements
- A master’s degree is required; proof of the degree awarded must be provided during hiring. The posting also lists a bachelor’s degree under Job Requirements.
- At least 18 years old.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Comfortable sitting, standing, crouching, and frequently getting on and off the floor.
- Able to maintain an active pace while working with young children.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Willingness to complete paid RBT certification within 20 days of hire.
- Team mindset and willingness to occasionally help at a nearby clinic if coverage is needed.
Nice To Haves
- Childcare experience, such as nanny, babysitter, preschool teacher, camp counselor, or tutor.
- Experience in mental health roles such as QMHP or behavioral health technician.
- Experience as a paraprofessional, caregiver, or life skills assistant.
- A degree in psychology, child development, or health sciences.
- Previous ABA experience may affect pay.
