About The Position

Aspire Living & Learning is seeking a per diem Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting in Nashua, New Hampshire. The role provides person-centered support with daily activities, including household chores, meal preparation, recreation, learning, and physical fitness. The DSP represents the needs, wants, and interests of the individuals served and contributes input to program planning and implementation. The position may also involve transporting individuals to community activities to help them build life skills. Depending on program needs, transportation may use a company vehicle or a personal vehicle, with mileage reimbursement provided as applicable. Starting pay is $20 per hour, based on education and experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and auto insurance.
• At least 3 years of driving experience.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Empathy, enthusiasm, and a passion and dedication for helping others.

Nice To Haves

• Prior professional experience working with individuals with disabilities is strongly preferred.
• Basic computer skills; experience using Therap is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting.
• Assist with daily activities, including household chores, meal preparation, recreational activities, learning activities, and physical fitness activities.
• Represent the needs, wants, and interests of individuals served or supported by the program.
• Provide input on program planning and implementation for individuals.
• Depending on program needs, transport individuals to community activities, potentially using a company or personal vehicle, to help them build life skills.
