About The Position

Aspire Living & Learning is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting in Nashua, New Hampshire. The role provides person-centered assistance with daily activities such as household chores, meal preparation, recreation, learning, and physical fitness. The DSP represents the needs, wants, and interests of the individuals served and contributes input to program planning and implementation. The position may also involve transporting individuals to community activities to help them build life skills. Transportation may use a company vehicle or, when needed, a personal vehicle, with mileage reimbursement provided as applicable. The role is per diem, with starting pay of $20.00 per hour based on education and experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and auto insurance.
• At least three years of driving experience.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Empathy, enthusiasm, and dedication to helping others.
• Some positions may require use of a personal vehicle to transport supported individuals, depending on program needs.

Nice To Haves

• Prior professional experience working with individuals with disabilities is strongly preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience using Therap is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting.
• Assist with daily activities, including household chores, meal preparation, recreational activities, learning activities, and physical fitness activities.
• Represent the needs, wants, and interests of individuals served or supported by the program.
• Provide input on program planning and implementation for individuals.
• When needed, assist individuals with transportation to community activities, using a company or personal vehicle depending on program needs.
