Direct Support Professional - Weekend Position
About The Position
Direct Support Professionals (DSP) work with people who experience developmental disabilities as they live in their homes and communities. This position assists people in their daily life, working with them and their connections to ensure that they can live fully in the community. Direct Support Professionals recognize people's rights to direct their life, understanding that each person has unique gifts and needs, and they support people to learn skills for their own growth and development. This is a permanent, part-time position every weekend in Windsor. Shifts may include days, afternoons, and nights. Initial orientation lasting 3-5 days will be held on weekdays. The successful candidate should be open to working night awake shifts.
Requirements
- Full G license is preferred but not required.
- Open to working night awake shifts.
Nice To Haves
- Education in Developmental Service Worker Program, Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Disability Studies, and Nursing is an asset.
- Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker, Disability Studies, and Nursing or post-secondary education in a related field.
