About The Position

Boone Supported Living is hiring Direct Support Professionals to help adults with developmental disabilities live more independent and fulfilling lives in Mid-Missouri. DSPs provide individualized support based on each person's goals and needs, including help with daily routines, community participation, and personal goals. Paid training is provided, and no prior experience is required. Openings include evenings, weekends, and limited overnight shifts; day shift positions are not currently available. The role serves areas including Columbia, Jefferson City, Marshall, and surrounding communities.

Requirements

Valid driver's license.
Reliable personal vehicle available for client transportation.
Current automobile insurance.
High school diploma or GED.
Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to pass the Family Care Safety Registry screening and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

Assist individuals with daily living activities and community involvement.
Encourage independence while providing compassionate support.
Administer medications after training and in accordance with agency policies.
Document services provided and progress toward individual goals.
Monitor health needs and report changes when necessary.
Follow individualized care plans.
Safely transport individuals to appointments and community activities.
Complete required documentation, mileage logs, incident reports, and other records accurately and on time.
