Indera is seeking a Direct Support Professional to work in the Cicero area with a young lady who requires assistance due to a physical/developmental delay. The family is looking for dedicated/energetic staff to provide her with support and assist her with maintaining her independence both at home and in community settings. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to assisting with meal preparation, going out into the community for multiple activities, some personal care and enjoying life to encourage independence. We need someone who is reliable, patient, energetic and enthusiastic. Prior experience is a plus but not required. Reliable transportation and an HS diploma/GED are required. Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire. Work hours include Monday through Friday, 7/7:30am – 3/3:30pm. The pay rate is $26.50 per hour. This is a full-time position which will allow this staff to be eligible for Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance/etc. along with earning time off. Indera is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Effective communication and organizational skills required
• Flexibility with assignments and schedule required
• Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy
• Reliable transportation
• HS diploma/GED

• Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred
