About The Position

Indera is seeking a Direct Support Professional to work in the Syracuse area with a young lady who requires assistance due to a developmental delay. The family is looking for a dedicated staff to provide her with support and assist her with maintaining her independence in the community. Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting with participating in activities outside of the home that are of interest to the individual. We are looking for an individual who is reliable, patient, energetic and enthusiastic.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Effective communication and organizational skills required.
• Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
• Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.
• HS diploma/GED

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience a plus but not required.
• Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with participating in activities outside of the home that are of interest to the individual.
• Provide support to maintain independence in the community.
