About The Position
Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are sought to join Merakey's team at their program in Alloway, NJ. The role involves creating long-term impacts on individuals' lives by encouraging, mentoring, and coaching them to achieve their goals. DSPs will foster pride in individuals by teaching daily living activities like housekeeping and laundry. Work is performed under the supervision of the House Manager, with evaluations based on observation, resident responsiveness, and reports. The position aims to enhance independence by assisting with daily and personal activities.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must have a verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- 1 year experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
Nice To Haves
- Dual Diagnosis experience is preferred.
- NADD DSP Certification training within first year of employment.
