About The Position
Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are needed to join the team at Merakey's program in Columbus, NJ. This role involves creating long-term impacts on individuals' lives by encouraging, mentoring, and coaching them to achieve their goals. The DSP will foster pride in individuals by teaching daily living activities such as housekeeping and laundry. Work is performed in accordance with appropriate procedures under the supervision of the House Manager. The role enhances independence by assisting with daily and personal activities.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must have a verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- 1 year experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
Nice To Haves
- Dual Diagnosis experience is preferred.
- NADD DSP Certification training within first year of employment.
Responsibilities
