About The Position
InReach is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide companionship, care, and support to an adult male individual with developmental disabilities in the Huntersville area. This role involves providing Supported Employment Services for 15 hours per week, assisting the individual in home living environments, identifying and acquiring valued social roles, facilitating community integration, developing healthy social habits, dispensing medication, and transporting the individual to various activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or GED)
- Valid driver's license
- Successfully pass a drug screen and background check
Nice To Haves
- One to two years of experience with the I/DD population
Responsibilities
- Instruction and assistance in home living environments.
- Help individual identify and acquire valued social roles.
- Facilitate community integration.
- Help individual develop healthy social habits.
- Dispense medication and monitoring dosages.
- Transport and accompany individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities.
