About The Position

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join their team at their program in Washington, PA. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong desire to create long-term impacts on individuals' lives, enjoying encouraging, mentoring, and coaching others to achieve their goals. The DSP will spend their days in various settings, making memories with individuals by following their Individual Support Plan. This includes activities like going to the park, working on social and communication skills, and fostering independence by teaching daily living activities such as personal care, housekeeping, and laundry. The goal is to enhance the independence of the individuals served.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must have a Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Following the Individuals Support Plan
• Encouraging, mentoring, and coaching individuals to achieve their goals
• Assisting with social and communication skills development
