About The Position

People Creating Success (PCS) is seeking compassionate individuals to join their supported living service program as Direct Support Professionals. This role involves helping adults with developmental disabilities to explore communities, enrich their passions, and make a positive impact in their lives. The position focuses on fostering genuine relationships and encouraging participants to engage with the world around them through activities like movies, music, festivals, and food. PCS has been a leader in providing services for adults with developmental disabilities for over 20 years, with a mission to help individuals pursue career, educational, and life goals.

Requirements

• Someone who is compassionate with a person-centered mindset
• Someone who is capable of communication with dignity and respect, especially during challenging moments
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Responsible, and can assist in goal progress tracking
• CPR / First Aid certification (Training will be provided if you’re not certified or need to be recertified)
• Able to be around cats

Nice To Haves

• Weekend Availability (Is a plus but not required)

Responsibilities

• Support participants with daily living skills such as cleaning, cooking, and budgeting
• Encourage and model independence, hobbies, and social activities
• Assist participants access and participate in community activities
• Assist with personal care such as medication support, hygiene and bathing (lifting / transferring may be required)
• Collaborate Person-Centered Care planning with participant
• Record keep progress of care plan
