Direct Support Professional - Independent Contractor (DH)
About The Position
InReach is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide companionship, care, and support to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. This specific role is for an Independent Contractor (DSP) to assist a male individual with Developmental Disabilities in the Charlotte area (28269). The position involves providing Community Living and Support (CLS) and Respite Services for approximately 15 hours per week. The pay rate for CLS is $20.35/hr and for Respite is $17/hr. The role requires instruction and assistance in home living environments, helping the individual identify and acquire valued social roles, facilitating community integration, and assisting in the development of healthy social habits. Responsibilities also include dispensing medication and monitoring dosages, and transporting/accompanying the individual to day programs, work sites, and community activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or GED)
- Valid driver's license
- Successfully pass a drug screen and background check
Nice To Haves
- One to two years of experience with the I/DD population
