About The Position
InReach is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) as Independent Contractors to provide companionship, care, and support to a male individual with developmental disabilities in the Charlotte area (28227). This role involves providing Community Living and Support Services for 21 hours per week, with a flexible schedule including Saturdays, Sundays, and one weekday of the staff's choice, either from 10 am-5 pm or 11 am-6 pm. The pay rate for Community Living Services (CLS) is $20.35/hr.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or GED)
- Valid driver's license
- Successfully pass a drug screen and background check.
Nice To Haves
- One to two years of experience with the I/DD population.
Responsibilities
- Instruction and assistance in home living environments.
- Help individual identify and acquire valued social roles.
- Facilitate community integration.
- Help individual develop healthy social habits.
- Dispense medication and monitor dosages.
- Transport and accompany individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities.
