Direct Support Professional - Independent Contractor (CG)
About The Position
InReach provides a wide variety of services to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. We are hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who are willing to make a difference in someone's life by providing companionship, care, and support. Specifically, we need a DSP (Independent Contractor) for a male individual with Developmental Disabilities in the Charlotte area (28262). The staff will provide Community Living and Support Services for 4-6 hours a week, with flexible scheduling on Thursdays. The pay rate is $20.35/hr.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or GED)
- Valid driver's license
- Successfully pass a drug screen and background check.
Nice To Haves
- One to two years of experience with the I/DD population preferred.
Responsibilities
- Instruction and assistance in home living environments.
- Help individual identify and acquire valued social roles.
- Facilitate community integration.
- Help individual develop healthy social habits.
- Dispense medication and monitoring dosages.
- Transport and accompany individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities.
