About The Position
InReach is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) as an Independent Contractor to provide Community Living and Support and Day Support Services for a male individual with Developmental Disabilities in the Charlotte area (28227). This role involves providing companionship, care, and support to help the individual make a difference in their life. The position requires 24 hours of service per week, with flexible scheduling on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or GED)
- Valid driver's license
- Successfully pass a drug screen and background check
Nice To Haves
- One to two years of experience with the I/DD population
Responsibilities
- Instruction and assistance in home living environments.
- Help individual identify and acquire valued social roles.
- Facilitate community integration.
- Help individual develop healthy social habits.
- Dispense medication and monitoring dosages.
- Transport and accompany individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities.
